5 Blogging Mistakes That Will Prevent You From Taking Off

I’ve been a professional blogger for over 6 years now. I’ve written over 600 articles related to software development, replied to thousands of messages and comments, and changed layouts and themes more times than I would care to admit and I have been hit (and helped) by search engine algorithm updates along the way.

In all of that, plenty of mistakes have been made that if someone pointed out earlier I could have easily avoided. But then again, then I wouldn’t have this wonderful article to write if that were the case. So here are 5 of those mistakes, in no particular order, that you might be doing yourself without even knowing it.

And catching them early, could lead to higher views faster than you think.

5. Writing for yourself

There are certain topics that you might find more entertaining than others and the thought of getting to sit down for an 1-hour to write about them is very exciting. You then stretch that hour into 4 hours, add a few last minute edits, slap a nice royalty free image on it and you are good to go.
