5 Step Roadmap To Building Your Web Consulting Agency

If you have been thinking about sort of one day starting your own web consulting company, but never got around to finding the time, then this article is not for you.
This article is for those that genuinely want their own business and that have bought the books, took the courses and fumbled with a Wix page in trying to set up their work portfolio. If that sounds like you, then read on as I highlight the major steps that I took personally when deciding to branch away from the corporate world in order to work for myself and start my own web agency.
It wasn’t easy and mistakes were made early on, but maybe you can learn from my mistakes and have a much smoother process en route to your inevitable successful business.
5. Pick a name
You will hear many people tell you that a name isn’t important and that you should save it for last. That might be true if you are writing an essay. But in business, a name is the first thing that everyone sees.
There are a few rules that I recommend when selecting your business name, mainly:
- Make it catchy
- Don’t make it too short
- It should tell people what you do
- Be bold (“Experts”, “Masters”, etc)
